Program Description

Our $250 Phlebotomy Skills Workshop is a 2-day, hands-on training experience held from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This fast-paced workshop is designed to introduce participants to basic venipuncture and capillary blood collection techniques, infection control procedures, patient interaction, and essential safety practices. 

Students will practice using standard equipment, review tube color codes, perform simulated and live blood draws, and engage in practical learning activities, such as centrifugation and capillary stick procedures.

This workshop is ideal for individuals interested in exploring the field of phlebotomy, refreshing their skills, or gaining hands-on exposure. Upon checkout, participants may also bundle this workshop with Basic Life Support (BLS) training.

This course issues a Certificate of Completion.

After completing our course, students may explore certification through the National Association of Phlebotomy Technician Professionals (NAPTP) to achieve their Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification. 

There is a $129 exam fee payable directly to NAPTP to sit for their exam.

The Mays Phlebotomy Institute is also a proctor site for the NAPTP Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) exam.
